Objectives
Being an essential component of every student’s education in DBSPD, the Music curriculum aims:
- To develop students’ creativity, the ability to appreciate music and to communicate through music effectively.
- To nurture the aesthetic sensitivity and cultural understanding of our students.
- To develop students’ music skills, to enable them to construct knowledge in music and to cultivate in them positive values and attitudes.
- To enable students to gain enjoyment and satisfaction through music activities.
- To help students pursue life-long interest and appreciation of music.
- To encourage students to learn at least one kind of musical instrument.
- To promote the appreciation and love of Chinese culture and music in our school.
